together a circle of friends who recognize the American University
Library as a key element in the success of the university and
who contribute annually to enhance the library's collections,
facilities, and services
Goals

the annual budget for building the library's collection

access to electronic information

professional development of library personnel

fund-raising for improved and expanded library space
Friends'
contributions add to the total resources available to the library
through its annual operating budget. A list of naming gift
opportunities is available on request. Members

friends
Benefits
Friends
will benefit from a calendar of exhibits, talks, and other special
library events; an annual celebration and recognition of Friends'
accomplishments; subscriptions to the AU Library newsletter, Biblionet;
and optional library borrowing privileges for Patron and higher
membership levels.
